We’ve been keeping on with our Kitchen Table Conversations. Here’s one we held at Clarence Town, a rural village on the Williams River in the southern part of the electorate.

The participants in the Clarence Town KTC also said they really appreciated the natural environment of the area. When discussing what they wanted in their federal representative, they raised the importance of having someone who is "approachable, has good listening skills and is empathetic". Their ideal representative was someone who would be visible, have lots of contact with the community and who would work for and be accountable to their community not the Party. Importantly they wanted their representative to have a vision for the electorate and to be a consensus builder, not a polarising or divisive figure. |
